ATTENTION MEMBERS OF THE CLASS OF 2021

Upcoming Events and Deadlines

March 31 - Cap and Gown pictures 8:00- 10:00 in the auditorium.

March 1-31 - Suggestions for class song will be entered into the google form on the senior google classroom site

April 5-9 – Voting on class song will be on the senior google classroom site

May 1 – Caps and gowns delivered during lunch *If you have fines, you WILL NOT be able to pick up your cap and gown. Please clear these fines up with Mrs. Hart ASAP!

May 13 and 14 – Graduation Practice- report to your first class for roll- wait to be called.

May 14Senior class picture in your cap and gown- report to your first class for roll - wait to be called - Graduation Practice at the Pit (If you are not in dress code (including a tie) you will NOT be allowed in the picture.) After pictures we will visit LPS, LUES, and Toombs Central before going to the Pit.

May 15 – Graduation – 8:30 a.m. Booster Stadium- Graduates need to check in with their advisor and meet at the tunnel by 7:30 a.m. Gates will open at 7:30 for parents and guests. ONLY GRADUATES WILL BE ALLOWED TO ENTER THROUGH THE TUNNEL. All other guests need to enter through the top gate.

*Honor Stoles and Advanced Program Medallions will be given out prior to graduation.

GRADUATION PRACTICE AND DRESS CODE FOR PRACTICE: Graduation practice will be held on Thursday, May 13, and Friday, May 14. Everyone who plans on going through the graduation ceremony MUST attend both days of practice. On both days, you should report to class until you are called to go to the gym. Teachers will be taking attendance.

May 13 – We will practice in the TCHS Gym as a back-up plan in case of inclement weather. We usually finish around lunch or a little before. You will be allowed to sign out when we finish ONLY IF you have returned a permission signed by your parent/guardian.

May 14 Bring your Cap and Gown for the group picture! (BOYS NEED WHITE BUTTON UP SHIRT WITH TIE! ALL HONOR GRADS NEED TO BE IN PROPER GRADUATION DRESS UNDER GOWN.) Not everyone chooses to participate in graduation. If for some reason you do not plan to participate, please let Mrs. Moxley know immediately. Any student nor participating in the ceremony may pick up his/her diploma at school on the Monday following graduation.

DRESS FOR GRADUATION CEREMONY

Males:

- Dark or Khaki dress pants

- White collared shirt and tie

- Dark socks and dress shoes

- No jeans, tennis shoes, or flip flops allowed

Girls:

- Dress or solid color dress pants.  The dress should not have a color that sticks out from under your gown or shows below the gown. 

- Dark shoes; flats or low heels are recommended for comfort - you will be standing a long time. Be sure to break-in shoes.  There will be a lot of walking. 

- NO jewelry (or anything hanging out of the gown)

- NO jeans, tennis shoes, or flip flops allowed. 

Bring sunglasses and wear sunscreen!

 Write your name on the inside of your hat so that you can find yours afterward if you throw your hat into the air. Do not write anything on top of your graduation cap. NOTHING IS ALLOWED ON YOUR CAP. IT MUST BE CLEAR OF ANY WRITING, BEADING, STONES, ETC. Caps will be checked before the ceremony.

SENIOR DEBTS

The last day to pay fines is May 3rd. All fines must be paid, all library books, textbooks, and uniforms returned before you can practice for graduation. Take care of any outstanding debts you have. Any obligations you have built up over the last 4 years must be taken care of in order for you to participate in the graduation ceremony.

***You only have a few weeks left. Work hard preparing for final projects, assignments, and tests, stay out of trouble, and enjoy your fellow classmates. DO RIGHT! I promise that you will never again experience the closeness that exists between you and your fellow seniors! Have fun, and remember how special it is to be a BULLDOG!

TCHS PROM SENIOR WALK INFORMATION: Seniors must be there by 6:30pm. You will report to the teachers at the tables in the area near the cafeteria. A slip will be filled out with your name and your escort’s name(s). No one under high school age is allowed to participate in the senior walk. Senior walk escorts must be appropriately attired. Seniors may NOT participate in the senior walk if you do not purchase a prom ticket. Due to limited space, seniors may not have more than TWO escorts. After the senior walk, parents and community members are invited to walk through the prom area to see the decorations before we allow students to enter. Students will not be admitted until 8:00pm when prom officially begins.
