Directions for completing the DE funding application
1. You must complete the Dual Enrollment (DE) Funding Application
- The annual online application is available to all applicants.
- The Student Participation Agreement (SPA) for the student and parent/guardian is completed electronically.
- Your GAfutures account profile will prepopulate the funding application. Be sure your GAfutures account profile has your correct information (legal name, email address, home address, social security number, and Date of Birth). If you do not have a valid social security number, when creating a GAfutures account profile, you will be assigned a temporary ID.
- Once completed, the application is valid for the academic year unless you change high schools.

- First-time Dual Enrollment students:
- At the top of the page, click on “Create an Account.” NOTE: BE SURE TO ENTER YOUR NAME AND SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER AS IT IS ON YOUR SOCIAL SECURITY CARD.
The steps below pertain to all Dual Enrollment Student (Returning & New)
- Select “My Dual Enrollment Profile” to submit the funding application.
- Select “Apply Now”
- Select “Apply for Dual Enrollment” and verify profile information and select the school year (Ex: May 2020-April 2021), grade level, and college(s).
- Participation Agreement-read carefully and check all boxes, sign, and submit.
- Once you have completed your portion of the application, your parent/guardian will receive an email letter with a link included to electronically complete the Parent Participation Agreement section of your application. Your parent/guardian will need your application ID (that you receive upon completion of your application) or SSN and your birth date (mmddyyyy) to complete their portion of the application.
- Parent/guardian may also visit GAfutures.org select Dual Enrollment funding Application and select DE Parent Agreement to electronically sign the agreement.
- You may add college(s), resend parent acknowledgment email, or view my dashboard by clicking on your DE Profile and clicking Apply Now.
- Your high school counselor must approve your Dual Enrollment courses and funding application in order for you to be registered for classes.
2. You must return the DE books
- Books are due on the last day of classes. If books are not returned, a hold will be placed on your record, and you will be responsible for the cost of the books.
- Books can no longer be given to instructors/librarians/counselors.
They must be turned in as follows:
