Toombs County High School is celebrating a historic achievement as the Class of 2026 posted a 96.4% four-year cohort graduation rate, the highest in school history.
The milestone continues a strong record of student success at TCHS, which has maintained a graduation rate above 93% for seven consecutive years. This year’s 96.4% rate also exceeds Georgia’s 2026 statewide graduation rate of 88.5% by 7.9 percentage points.
“Achieving a 96.4% four-year cohort graduation rate, the highest in Toombs County High School history, is an accomplishment our entire Bulldog family can celebrate,” TCHS Principal Marissa Morris said. “It reflects students who persevered, families and a community who supported them, and educators across our school system who helped build the foundation for their success.”
Morris emphasized that the achievement reflects the collective work of educators throughout Toombs County Schools, along with the commitment of the TCHS faculty and staff to know their students, support their individual needs, maintain high expectations, and help each student reach graduation.
“Our TCHS faculty and staff carried that work forward by knowing our students, supporting their needs, holding them to high expectations, and doing whatever it takes to help them reach graduation,” Morris said. “For seven consecutive years, TCHS has maintained a graduation rate above 93%, and I could not be prouder of the Class of 2026. They have truly created their legacy.”
