We are excited to announce that Toombs County High School will offer your high school student an SAT preparatory course. The course is designed for rising juniors or seniors preparing for the SAT. The course will focus on Reading and Math over the 8 sessions.
The course is free, but students must commit to attending all sessions. Students will keep their SAT prep book once their summer session is complete.
This is an opportunity to strengthen their SAT scores in time for college applications. These sessions also fall prior to the June 6th SAT opportunity. All materials will be provided to the student, but the student must commit to attending all sessions. You can complete the Google Form below or pick up a paper form in the commons area.

Lynet Casas, a senior at Toombs County High School, was honored with the Award of Excellence by State School Superintendent Richard Woods at a ceremony held at the Georgia Department of Education in Atlanta. This award is bestowed upon one senior in each congressional district who has demonstrated outstanding achievements in employment, academics, and extracurricular activities. Lynet was nominated by Transition Coordinator Sabrina Campbell and selected for her exceptional academic skills, strong work ethic, dependability, and exemplary attitude. She was one of 21 students statewide to receive this distinction. Lynet, daughter of Antonio and Yolanda Casas, is ready to graduate as an honor graduate with distinction from Toombs County High School. Throughout her academic tenure, she has consistently showcased dedication and determination, successfully completing 11 AP and dual enrollment courses while maintaining a strong academic record. Her ability to balance college-level coursework with regular responsibilities speaks to her exceptional work ethic and maturity. As a bilingual individual, Lynet possesses strong language skills. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and reading, showcasing her commitment to academic pursuits. This morning, TCHS was honored to host Lt. Wiedle and AT1 Randallsons of the U.S. Navy Blue Angels, along with Recruiter Sergeant Arellano!
They spoke with our 11th & 12th grade students about teamwork, dedication, and pursuing your goals. Students also participated in a Q&A session, asking thoughtful questions throughout the visit.

Anna Lynn Hutcheson represented our chapter exceptionally well at the State FFA Convention, placing 4th in the state in the Creed Speaking CDE. This event is widely known as one of the most competitive in Georgia, with students advancing through multiple levels of competition to earn a spot on the state stage.
Anna Lynn competed against numerous contestants from across the state, outperforming the vast majority to earn a place in the Top 4—an outstanding accomplishment that reflects her dedication, preparation, and public speaking ability.
We are incredibly proud of Anna Lynn for representing our program and school at such a high level.
TCHS WBL program is proud to recognize junior Bryar Bishop as this week’s Work‑Based Learning Student of the Week! Bryar works at McLendon Enterprises, Inc. in Vidalia. Bryar has quickly learned new tasks and shows great potential. He has become a key member of the road department that he works in and doesn't mind "getting his hands dirty" to get the job done. He is shown standing in front of a front loader that he operates to clean up debris and load on the dump trucks.
Derek McLendon, reports that Bryar is a great addition to the McLendon team and hopes that he turns his high school job into a full time career. He has been working on his bench loading skills on the excavator as his capstone project.
